Badgers Casillas honored by Big Ten

September 5, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin linebacker Jonathan Casillas has been named the Big Ten's co-special teams player of the week. Casillas earned his first such award by blocking a punt against Bowling Green on Saturday, then recovering it in the end zone to give the Badgers their first lead of the game (14-7). The blocked punt was Casillas' third in 13 career games. Casillas also racked up 12 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss.
