Bell leads Brewers to win

September 22, 2006 By WRN Contributor

David Bell had three hits and three rbi's to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 9-4 win over the San Francisco Giants at Miller Park on Thursday night. The production came at a time when David Bell found out his father Buddy Bell has cancer. Bell has struggled at the plate since coming to the Brewers in late July, hitting just .224 with 2 home runs and 17 rbi's. Dave Bush worked 7 1/3 innings to pick up the win, despite giving up three home runs, two of the three from Giants outfielder Moises Alou. The Brewers have now won 3 of four games on their final homestand. The two teams will play again tonight.
