Brewers hammered by Cubs in series opener

September 27, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Former Brewer Henry Blanco had four hits and drove in four runs to help the Chicago Cubs knock off the Brewers 14-6 at Wrigley Field last night. Jacque Jones and John Mabry each homered in the win for the Cubs. The loss ended the Brewers 5-game win streak and dropped them 26-games under .500 on the road. The final game of the two game series is at Wrigley Field tonight.
