Colledge to start if Spitz can't go

September 14, 2006 By WRN Contributor

With Jason Spitz sidelined with a bruised thigh, the Green Bay Packers could give Daryn Colledge a shot at left guard this week against the New Orleans Saints. Colledge held a starting job throughout the off-season and early into training camp, but poor play cost him the job. He said things are much different this time around though. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Spitz will need to practice by Friday to be able to start on Sunday.
