Falk stops Lautenschlager?s re-election bid

September 13, 2006 By WRN Contributor

In an extremely close race, Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk defeated the incumbent Lautenschlager to gain the Democratic nomination for Attorney General. Falk told supporters at her victory rally that her campaign will seize the moment and use their victory to help protect Wisconsin.

Falk will face Republican JB Van Hollen in the general election. She wasted no time Tuesday night in attacking her opponent by calling him out of touch with Wisconsin. Falk says Van Hollen will not protect the state from a number of threats and will set back the reproductive rights of women.

Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager says she will to offer her support to Falk, if the Democratic nominee wants it.
