Henderson's starting FB job in jeopardy

September 28, 2006 By WRN Contributor

For the first time in ten years, the Green Bay Packers could have a new starter at fullback for a reason other then injury. The Packers promoted fullback Brandon Miree from the practice squad to the 53 man roster on Tuesday and he said the coaching staff told him he has a shot at starting Monday night at Philadelphia. Miree told the Green Bay Press Gazette that the coaches conveyed to both he and Henderson that the best man in practice this week would start. Henderson is in his 12th NFL season and the Packers were reportedly not happy with his blocking in last weeks win over the Lions.
