Jaguars ordered to forfeit 4 wins

September 26, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Division 2's top ranked high school football team, Ashwaubenon, has been ordered to forfeit its first four wins, pending an appeal. The defending state champs had won their first-five games this season, but had been playing with an illegal player. Defensive lineman Rex Manibog turned 19 before August 1, which violates WIAA rules. He had been declared ineligible for game five and for the rest of the season after the school filed an age waiver form to the WIAA. It is possible that the WIAA could overturn its decision.
