Packers sign troubled Robinson

September 12, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Packers signed troubled wide receiver Koren Robinson to a 2-year contract on Monday. Robinson's alcohol related problems have gotten him released by both the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings. He still has two scheduled court appearances in the next month or so, leaving him in danger of a possible year long suspension from the NFL. His most recent brush with the law came back on Aug. 15th when Robinson engaged police in a 15-mile chase back to Vikings training camp in Mankato. Police say Robinson was driving 104 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone and registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.11. Robinson led the NFC and was fifth overall in kickoff returns last season, averaging 26 yards on 47 attempts. He is expected to be on the field for the Packers when they face the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
