Stratford looks to tie record win streak tonight

September 29, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Three-time defending WIAA Division 6 state football champion Stratford is one win away from tying Manitowoc's state record 48-game win streak. The Tigers win last week over Wausau Neuman in Marawood conference action was their 47th win in a row. They'll go for the tie-breaker tonight with a non-conference game at La Crescent, Minnesota. With a win tonight, Stratford would go for its 49th consecutive victory October 6th at home against Pittsville.
