Wynegar and Nelson taking the fall for Brewers struggles

September 29, 2006 By WRN Contributor

It looks like hitting coach Butch Wynegar and first base coach Dave Nelson are the fall guys for the Brewers disappointing 2006 baseball season. The Brewers will finish well below last years .500 finish and in response, the organization announced that Wynegar and Nelson won't have their contracts renewed in 2007. Both coaches came to Milwaukee with manager Ned Yost to start the 2003 season. They'll stay on for the rest of the season, which ends in St. Louis on Sunday.
