All dairy eyes on Wisconsin

October 2, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Madison, Wisconsin becomes the center of the dairy universe this week with the 40th annual World Dairy Expo.

2500 cows, hundreds of dairy farmers from around the world and exhibitors showing the latest milking technology. All part of the state's largest dairy farm, at least for this week.

Expo spokesperson Lisa Behnke says whether you're a dairy farmer with 50 head or 5000 there is something to be learned at the Expo.

Behnke says it's also a great opportunity for “city folks” to visit the Expo and learn more about a major economic driver in the state.

The World Dairy Expo takes place this week at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
