Badger band on probation

October 12, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The University of Wisconsin has put its marching band on probation after reports of severe misconduct during last month's trip to the Badger/Michigan game in Ann Arbor. Chancellor John Wiley, in a letter to band director Michael Leckrone, warned that he would consider suspending the band's activities and travel or replacing its leadership if there were more reports of “gratuitous vulgarity, sexualized banter or joking, hazing, or other forms of demeaning conduct.”
