Capital "cows" are rounded up.

October 17, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Cows on Parade has marched off the Capital Square.

They were colorful, clever and represented everything Wisconsin. But after a summer “grazing” around downtown Madison, the artistic fiberglass cows are headed for the auction block.

Moriah Morris with Cows on Parade says the 100 bovine pieces of art drew quite a bit of attention from around the area and the state. Now they hope the cows will draw a lot of money that will go to the American Family Children's Hospital and twenty other charities.

There will be two different types of auctions. A live one in Madison on November 10th and the online auction that can be found at www.cowparadeauction.com.

They're hoping to get at least five thousand dollars a “head” in the bidding in hopes of raising $200,000 for the Children's Hospital. With a hundred Cows available, Morris says there should be one that's just right for you.
