Henderson is out as starting fullback

October 2, 2006 By WRN Contributor

William Henderson has missed only three of the 177 games he's played in over his 12-year NFL career. All three have been the result of injury. Tonight in Philadelphia, Henderson won't start at fullback against the Eagles. He's been replaced in the starting lineup by Brandon Miree who was only signed off the teams practice squad on Tuesday. Henderson not only won't start, but he may be a gameday scratch for the first time in his career. Henderson's blocking skills have been on the decline in recent years. Henderson's blocking skills have been in decline and it's really been noticeable since his having arthroscopic knee surgery late in training camp. Since the surgery, Henderson has been healthy enough to play, but estimates he's not at the 95% of full strength needed to execute the most demanding blocks in the Packers' run game.
