Marquette vs. UWM is a no go

October 16, 2006 By WRN Contributor

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the proposed Marquette/UW-Milwaukee men's basketball series is dead in the water. The two sides can't seem to agree on how much Marquette is willing to pay UWM for three games the Panthers would have played at the Bradley Center as a part of the proposed 5-year deal. Marquette's latest offer was reportedly for an average of $60,000 for each of the three games, but it's not enough to get UW-Milwaukee to sign a deal to play the Golden Eagles.
