Novak dials long distance against bucks

October 19, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Former Marquette standout Steve Novak hit 5 of his 6 three-pointers last night, pouring in 17 points to help lead the Houston Rockets to a 111-97 win over the  Milwaukee Bucks  in NBA exhibition play in Houston.  Michael Redd scored 21 points and the Bucks hit 11 of 19 shots from three-point range (58%), but it wasn't enough.  Yao Ming had 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Rockets, who played without star forward Tracy McGrady.  The Bucks are 2-2 in preseason play.  They'll travel to Dallas to face the Mavericks tonight.
