Packers are optimistic about Jennings

October 26, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Greg Jennings got rid of the crutches and was getting around much better yesterday (Wednesday).  He's listed as doubtful on the Packers injury report for Sunday's game against Arizona, but coach Mike McCarthy said he's hoping Jennings would be able to practice on Friday and play on Sunday.  Jennings was hurt Sunday late in the first half of the Packers' 34-24 win over Miami and did not return to the game.  If Jennings can't play, the Packers will have two rookies and a first-year player serving as complements to starter Donald Driver.  Ruvell Martin would start opposite of Driver if Jennings can't go.
