Top ranked hockey Badgers earn win and tie against Northern

The top ranked Wisconsin hockey team earned a 3-0 win on Friday and a 3-3 tie against Northern Michigan on Saturday at the Resch Center. Freshman Michael Davies scored his first and second goals of his UW career to lead the Badgers to the Friday night win and Hobey Baker candidate Brian Elliott earned his 12th career shutout stopping 23 shots in the nets. The Badgers open WCHA play this coming weekend at the Kohl Center against North Dakota.
