Barnett experiences parenthood

November 10, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett returned to the practice field on Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice for what Mike McCarthy said were "personal reasons."

It turns out Barnett's excuse was a good one.  Barnett took his longtime girlfriend to the hospital Tuesday night for the birth of the couples first child.  It's a boy.  Kaden Nicholas Barnett was born late in the afternoon.
