Bo will have to wait for #500

November 25, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin basketball coach Bo Ryan will have to wait for career win number-500.  He's at 499 wins and was looking for 500 when his 7th ranked Badgers were upset by Missouri State 66-64 in the semifinals of the South Padre Island Invitational.

Missouri State's Blake Ahearn hit 3 of 5 from three-point range and scored 25 points to lead the Bears to the upset win.

The Bears (4-0) led by as many as 19 points in the first half, but the Badgers fought their way back in the second half for a five-point lead.  Missouri State then outscored the Badgers 9-2 down the stretch for the win.

Alando Tucker scored 26 points for the Badgers, who lost for the first time (4-1) this season.  Wisconsin faces Auburn today in the consolation game.  Missouri State takes on Oklahoma State in the championship game.
