Franklin edges Brookfield Central in OT

Franklin forced a Brookfield Central fumble that avoided a second overtime period and they went on to beat Central 36-29 in the WIAA Division 2 State Football Championship game.

Brookfield Central trailed 29-14 late in the third quarter but pulled even on an interception return for a touchdown by defensive lineman Travis Maze and another touchdown and two-point conversion midway through the fourth quarter. 

Franklin passed for 264 yards and rushed for 129 in winning the Division 2 championship.
