Homestead shows dominance in D-1 title game

November 18, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Three different senior running backs scored first-half touchdowns, including two by Rodney Hickman, as Mequon-Homestead rolled to a 35-0 win over Hartland-Arrowhead in the WIAA Divisiokn 1 State Football Championship game at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on Friday.

The Highlanders jumped out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

The 35-point margin of victory tied a WIAA Division record set against Arrowhead three years ago when D.C. Everest defeated the Warhawks 42-7.
