Marquette beats Tech, headed for CBE Championship

13th ranked Marquette forced 18 turnovers and went on to beat Texas Tech 87-72 in the CBE Classic semifinals in Kansas City, Mo. 

Wesley Matthews had 20 points and Jerel McNeal matched his career high with 19 points for the Golden Eagles, who kept Texas Tech coach Bob Knight at 873 victories.  Knight remains three wins shy of Adolph Rupp for second on the career list and seven shy of breaking Dean Smith's record of 879.

Marquette improved to 5-0 with the win and will take on 9th ranked Duke in tonight's CBE Championship game.  Duke advanced with a semifinal win over Air Force 71-56.
