Tool for determining medical costs gets upgrade

For nearly two years, the Wisconsin Hospital Association's PricePoint website has allowed patients to compare the costs of major inpatient procedures at healthcare providers statewide. Senior Vice President George Quinn says the site now also includes price comparisons for outpatient procedures as well. Quinn says the upgraded site allows patients to see what a wide variety of providers charge, which may help them select a provider that best fits their medical plan or personal costs. Quinn says it's a good tool for smart shoppers facing expensive procedures.
