A long day for Packers' Martin

December 14, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Ruvell Martin was left behind in San Francisco after bruising his chest on a play in the fourth quarter.  His return to Green Bay was anything but routine.

Martin left for home early Tuesday morning, but fog wouldn't allow his plane to be able to land in Green Bay which had them flying all over the upper midwest.  Martin eventually made it home by 9pm Tuesday night.

The Packers receiver is questionable on the team's latest injury report, but he says he's hopeful he'll play Sunday when the Packers face the Lions at Lambeau Field.
