Badgers 4th ranking is best ever

December 19, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Wisconsin Badgers have earned their highest ranking ever in the Associated Press men's top 25 college basketball poll.

When the polls came out on Monday afternoon, the Badgers were ranked 4th after knocking off previously 2nd ranked Pittsburgh on Saturday at the Kohl Center.

The Badgers are 11-1 on the season.  Their fourth place ranking is up three spots from #7, the spot they occupied a week ago.

The Badgers previous high ranking was 6th back in December of 1962.
