Badgers suspend Ikegwuonu

Jack Ikegwuonu , a sophomore defensive back with the Wisconsin Badger football team, has been suspended after violating the UW Department of Athletics' Student-Athlete Discipline Policy. 

Ikegwuonu is suspended from competition and practice pending the availability of further information relating to his case. 

Ikegwuonu started all 12 games for the Badgers this season.  He leads the team in passes broken up with 11, is tied for second on the team in interceptions with two and is fifth in tackles with 38. 

Ikegwuonu was arrested Saturday in DeKalb, Illinois, and faces charges of resiential burglary and criminal trespass.  He and his twin brother, William, are accused of breaking into an apartment and trying to steal an Xbox player.
