Stricker wins PGA Comeback Player of the Year honors

Madison's Steve Stricker is the 2006 PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year.

Stricker was 162nd on the money list a year ago.  He missed only two cuts in 17 events this season and had seven top-10 finishes, including a sixth place finish at the U.S. Open.  He finished 34th on the money list with $1.8-million in earnings.

Tiger Woods was voted player of the year for the eighth time in his 10 full seasons on the tour
