Thomas honored by Associated Press

December 13, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin Badgers offensive tackle Joe Thomas received another award yesterday.  He was named first-team All-American by the Associated Press.

Thomas is the first Wisconsin offensive lineman to receive first team honors since Pewaukee's Chris McIntosh did it back in 1999.

Thomas was a All-Big Ten Conference first team choice.  He was also named first team by the American Football Coaches Association and captured the Outland Trophy last week.
