Badgers Duggan named WCHA's Rookie of the Week

January 24, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Following a four-point weekend at North Dakota, UW freshman Meghan Duggan has been named the WCHA Rookie of the Week for the week of Jan. 22.  The league honor is Duggan's third of the season.

Duggan scored one goal and added three assists for four points to lead the Badgers to a pair of WCHA road victories over North Dakota on Jan. 19-20 in Grand Forks.

Duggan is tied for second in the nation in points among rookies with 32 and her 17 goals are the most by a UW rookie since Meghan Hunter scored 42 goals as a freshman in 2000-01.
