Wednesday was an historic day for the Wisconsin state Senate. Democrats took control of the Senate in the November elections, with four new members sworn in, and Senator Fred Risser elected as Senate President, replacing Republican Alan Lasee. Beloit's Judy Robson will the first woman to serve as her party's majority leader. "Today we celebrate not only where we've been, but also where we're headed," said Robson. "And together, we celebrate the spirit of public service in a representative democracy."
