Leipold takes over Warhawks football team

January 4, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Former UW-Whitewater quarterback Lance Leipold is the new head football coach at the school.  Leipold succeeds Bob Berezowitz, who retired after 22 years.

Leipold had been associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Nebraska-Omaha since 2004.  He was the Most Valuable Player for the Warhawks in 1986 and was elected to the school's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
