Marquette drops home game in Big East

January 8, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The 15th ranked Marquette Golden Eagles will likely fall when the new college basketball polls come out later today.  They dropped their 2nd straight Big East game 70-58 to Syracuse at the Bradley Center on Sunday.

The Golden Eagles (13-4, 0-2) are now winless in the Big East after two games and will face difficult games at Connecticutt on Wednesday and back home against West Virginia this Saturday.

Marquette struggled to shoot the ball again and hit just 6 of their 15 free throw attempts.  Eric Devendorf scored a season-high 20 points to lead the unranked Orangement to the upset win.
