January 16, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Marquette Golden Eagles , after dropping their first two Big East Conference games, have won three in a row after Monday night's 74-65 win over Louisville at Freedom Hall.

Sophomore point guard Dominic James once again led the way for the 24th ranked Golden Eagles, scoring 16 of his team high 18 points in the second half.  Wesley Matthews added 17 and Jerel McNeal 15 points and 7 assists.  Ousmane Barro also had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (16-4, 3-2).

The win is the first at Louisville in the last three attempts for the Golden Eagles.  Marquette doesn't play again until Sunday when the Golden Eagles travel to Pittsburgh.
