Marquette squeaks by South Florida for 6th straight win

The Marquette Golden Eagles won their 6th consecutive Big East game, squeaking past South Florida 70-68 on Sunday in Tampa, Florida.

Dominic James scored 16 points and Jerel McNeal took a steal nearly the length of the floor to hit the game winning layup at the buzzer.  McNeal finished with 13 points for the 15th ranked Golden Eagles.

Marquette improves to 19-4 overall, 6-2 in the Big East.  The Golden Eagles are off until Saturday when they host Providence.
