Panthers knock off another top Horizon League foe

January 22, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers knocked off a first place Horizon League team for the second straight game.  Paige Paulsen scored 17 points and Avery Smith 15 to lead the Panthers to a 73-69 win over Wright State.

Wright State started the day tied with 18th ranked Butler atop the Horizon League.  The Panthers also beat Illinois-Chicago last Wednesday when the Flames were also tied for the league lead.

The Panthers are just 7-14 on the year, but improved their league record to 4-4.
