A new resource for Wisconsin women will help them connect to vital health care information. The new guide being released by the Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation will provide a quick resource for families statewide on health information in their communities. Foundation President Sue Ann Thompson says it lists information such as providers and other resources that are needed to take care of health issues.
Thompson says the guide targets women because they are the primary decision makers when it comes to family health care. The group estimates nearly 85 percent of health care decisions in the home are made by women.
Thompson says the guide is also geared towards increasing prevention. She says the sooner women and families can access information, the sooner lives and money can be saved.
The Foundation is distributing the guide statewide, or you can request a copy online at their website .
