Kenseth captures Auto Club 500

February 26, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Matt Kenseth put all of his troubles at Daytona behind him and won  Nascar's Nextel Cup Auto Club 500 on Sunday at the California Speedway.

Kenseth lost his crew chief to a 4-race suspension for a rule infraction found on Kenseth's #17 Ford in Daytona 500 qualifying.

Kenseth led for 133 of the 250 laps and was being challenged down the stretch by Kevin Harvick until Harvick had a flat tire which dropped him back to a 17th place finish.

Jeff Gordon finished second and Jimmy Johnson 3rd.
