Today's turnout trend: tepid ten percent

February 20, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Are you voting today? If you are, you'll be in a minority. As Kyle Richmond with the state elections board notes, there's just not much political heat being generated, to offset the cold weather. ith that in mind, Richmond says, don't look for long lines or frustrated workers at most polling places around the state. The turnout should be quite light, around ten percent statewide; a little higher uin some places, a little less in others.

In the only statewide race on the ballot, attorney Joseph Sommers, attorney Linda Clifford and circuit court Judge Annette Ziegler are vying for an open seat on the state Supreme Court, with the top two vote getters advancing to the April General election.
