Badger men's hockey team advances to Final 5

March 12, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Wisconsin men's hockey team (17-17-4) will face Michigan Tech (18-16-5) on Thursday in the play-in game at the 2007 WCHA final at the Xcel Energy Center.

The winner will face top ranked Minnesota in Friday night's semi-finals.

The 7th seeded Badgers swept fourth-seeded Denver with a victory on Saturday, then for the second weekend in a row, waited what seemed like an eternity to find out its next opponent.

Friday's other semi-final features North Dakota against St. Cloud State.
