March 29, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Former UW-Green Bay Phoenix guard and Badger assistant coach Tony Bennett is staying put at Washington State.

After leading the Cougars to a 26-8 record this past season, the teams best mark in 60 years, Bennett received a 7-year contract extension  The deal will pay him considerably more than his reported $350,000 current salary.  That deal was one of the lowest in the Pac 10 Conference.
