Brewers leave Phoenix with a win

March 30, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up Cactus League play in Phoenix yesterday with a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Geoff Jenkins drove in three runs with a pair of doubles.  The Brewers now head for Texas for exhibitions against the Rangers today and tomorrow.  They'll head back to Milwaukee after that to work out at Miller Park on Sunday and face the Dodgers there in the regular season opener on Monday.

The Brewers also put outfielder Laynce Nix on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right oblique.  The move is retroactive to March 23rd and he must remain on the DL through April 6th.  Nix will stay back in Arizona to continue his rehab.
