Cuba City rolls into girls Div-3 title game

Two-time defending champion Cuba City moved back into the girls WIAA State Basketball title game, beating Oostburg 51-42 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on Thursday morning.

Tami Gleason scored 15 points to lead the Cubans, who stayed perfect on the season at 25-0 with the win.  Britta Jensema had 15 in the loss for the Flying Dutchmen.

Cuba City is in the tournament field for the 11th time.  The Cubans have won more State titles than any other program with seven. 

Oostburg suffered its first loss of the season, falling to 25-1.  Cuba City faces Amherst in the Division 3 title game on Saturday.  Amherst beat Osseo-Fairchild 57-51 in the first semi-final game of the day. 

Kate Glodowski scored 18 points to lead three Falcons in double figures.  Amherst shot 50% from the field and 44% from 3-point range.  Hailey Hart led Osseo-Fairchild with 14 points in the loss.
