Marquette bounced from Big East Tournament

March 9, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Marquette Golden Eagles are probably in the NCAA Tournament and that's a good thing because they were knocked out of the Big East Tournament in last nights Quarterfinals.

Aaron Gray scored 22 points to lead 13th ranked Pittsburgh to a 89-79 win over the Golden Eagles at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Dan Fitzgerald matched his career high with 20 points to lead Marquette (24-9).  Wesley Matthews added 19 points for the Golden Eagles.
