Packers reportedly interested in Chargers' Turner

March 28, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Packers are reportedly among a number of teams that are expressing interest in San Diego's backup running back Michael Turner .

The Chargers used a top tender on Turner, who is a restricted free agent, which means any team that signs Turner to an offer sheet, would owe the Chargers a first and a third round draft pick as compensation.

The Packers could still trade for Turner and not have to pay that steep of a price.

Last season, Turner rushed for 502 yards on just 80 carries with a pair of touchdowns.
