SeniorCare: circling the drain?

March 16, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The future of SeniorCare doesn't look good according to Wisconsin congressman Steve Kagen . The Appleton Democrat says his meetings with the staff of Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Levitt regarding SeniorCare did not go well. Kagen says it looks as if the state's popular prescription drug program will not be extended. Since Wisconsin seniors may now have to switch from SeniorCare to Medicare Part D., Kagen wants to make sure people are penalized for signing up late, and says he'll introduce legislation that would repeal any fees charged to seniors who sign up late for Medicare Part D.
