The Badgers escape with a win

March 16, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Texas A&M Corpus Christi came out fighting, but in the end the Badgers were just too talented as they advance to the 2 nd round of the NCAA tournament with a 76-63 win over the Islanders.

Corpus Christi lead by as many as 17 in the first-half; the Badgers dwindled the lead to 8 at the half before taking the lead for good with about 8 minutes left in the game.

Kammron Taylor led the Badgers with 24 points, all coming in the 2 nd half.  The Badgers take on UNLV Sunday in the round of 32.

Brian Butch was cleared to play in Friday's just 2 ½ weeks after dislocating his right elbow.  Butch was originally to be out 4-6 weeks.  He was in uniform in Friday's win, but not used.
