Big Ten increases to 18-conference games

April 18, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Big Ten basketball coaches are getting their wish after the conference announced it would increase its conference schedule from 16 to 18 games.  That would make the new format, which goes into effect next season, just two games shy of a full round robin slate in the Big Ten.

The addition of two Big Ten Conference games means the Wisconsin Badger schedule for next season is almost complete.

The Badgers will play non-conference road games at Duke, Texas and UW-Milwaukee.  They'll host Marquette, Georgia and UW-Green Bay at the Kohl Center, as well as three other opponents in an early season tournament.
