Brewers take two from Marlins

April 12, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers came away with a pair of wins over the Florida Marlins in Miami on Wednesday night.  It ended Florida's recent dominance over the Brewers.

Rickie Weeks scored on Prince Fielder's 13th inning single as the Brewers finished off a suspended game from the day before with a 3-2 win.

Weeks turned around and homered and tripled in the next game, leading the Brewers to a 5-2 win in the nightcap.

Elmer Dessens worked a scoreless 12th for his first win as a Brewers in the suspended game.

Dave Bush rebounded from a season opening loss by allowing 1 run on 10 hits in six innings of work in the nightcap.

The wins for the Brewers end a 9-game slide against the Marlins.  They'll take the day off today.
