Indians and Angels to play in Milwaukee

April 9, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Major League Baseball is moving the Cleveland Indians' series against the Los Angeles Angels from Jacobs Field  to Milwaukee's Miller Park.

Cold and wet weather wiped out the Seattle Mariners and the Indians for a fourth straight day, causing the teams to postpone today's scheduled doubleheader.

While there's no more snow in the forecast for Cleveland this week, rain is a possibility for Wednesday and with the Milwaukee Brewers on the road, Miller Park, which has a roof, is available.

Cleveland still hasn't played an official home opener.  Friday's attempt was postponed after four innings.

A storm left more than a foot of snow in some places in the Cleveland area, and the entire four-game series will have to be played later.  The last time an entire three-game series was postponed by weather was back in 2004 when Hurricane Frances put the Chicago Cubs and Florida Marlins on hold.
